Service Description
MAP-NeuroArt Watercolor Masterclass - An Experiential Journey for Adults At Studio 136 - This workshop is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and engage the body through a structured yet intuitive neuro‑art process. You will explore how lines, color, and mindful attention can support emotional regulation, self‑awareness, and integration. No art experience is needed. This is about process, presence, and perception. Neurographic art is a guided drawing and painting process that uses continuous lines, intentional intersections, rounding, and color to engage the brain in new patterns of perception and response. This process has the potential to engage bilateral brain activity, encouraging cognitive flexibility and emotional processing. The watercolor layer adds fluidity, allowing participants to practice tolerance of uncertainty, flow, and letting go of control. During the process, participants often experience a shift from sympathetic activation (fight/flight) toward parasympathetic regulation, increased interoceptive awareness (noticing sensations, emotions, impulses), a sense of grounding, focus, and calm alertness. Benefits Participants Often Report: -Reduced anxiety and mental noise -Increased clarity and emotional awareness -Improved capacity to stay present with discomfort -A felt sense of calm and coherence -Renewed creativity and self‑trust This practice is especially supportive during: -Life transitions -Periods of stress or overwhelm -Burnout or emotional fatigue Important Notes: -This workshop may be "therapeutic" but it does not replace mental health treatment -Participants are always encouraged to work within their window of tolerance -Choice, pacing, and self‑attunement are central to the experience About the Facilitator: Flavia Nazareth is the founder of MAP Integrative Therapies and Little Blank Canvas, with over 13 years of experience using mindful art, neuroscience-informed practices, and emotional regulation to support children, teens, adults, and families. Her work integrates expressive arts and wellness-based support through workshops, coaching, and creative therapeutic processes. As an Art Therapy Practitioner, trained in neuropsychotherapy, and a certified Lifestyle & Wellness Coach through Harvard Medical School, Flavia is currently completing a Clinical Psychoanalyst training program in Brazil. Through MAP-Neuro-Art, Flavia creates experiences that encourage regulation, creativity, self-awareness, and renewal.
